We need to talk about the new video on that has been posted by the Watchtower under tge video section of their website.(Click on the image above to play the video)
For over 70 years they have vilified the United Nations as the scarlet beast of Revelation and now they are prepared to produce promotional videos that promote this organisation. How is that even compatible with their teachings?
What is UNHCR ?United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a United Nations sponsored program that provides refugee camps is conflict striken parts of the World. How do people find out about this initiative?From NGO'S (=non governmental organisations) that promote via their operations UN sponsored programs and initiatives. How do they do that? By creating promotional videos that are screened to all their members.When is the best time for such promotional videos to be screened to ALL their members at one given time? Well, unbeknown to you ,you were subjected to such advertising in the last 2023 convention.
The very latest installment in the video section of jw.org is the Behind the Scenes of “Commit Your Way to Jehovah” drama that was screened in the last convention of 2023 where a group of Jehovah's Witnesses refugees escape to the nearest UN refugee camp for salvation. This for me was biggest scandal in 2023 because last time I checked the provision from Jehovah for salvation was Jehovah's organization and not the nearest UN refugee camp.
In fact I find this video so out of place with the program of a supposedly Christian convention that makes me think there are dark nefarious reasons that led to its production and screening.
The following is a quote from the Watchtower 15th November 1981 page 21:
We can expect a similar expansion of our preaching activity now, at this climax of the ages. No doubt, before the “great tribulation” is finished, we will see the greatest witness to God’s name and kingdom in the history of this world. And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation, the time no doubt will come when the message takes on a harder tone, like a “great war cry.
Also last time I checked the United Nations is the scarlet colour beast of the book of Revelation, the following quote from the Watchtower's publications (I Include the link below) had this today about this organization:
The United Nations was established “to maintain international peace and security.” While this goal might seem to be praiseworthy, the UN actually dishonors God by claiming to do what he has said only his Kingdom will accomplish.—Psalm 46:9; Daniel 2:44.
How do you think Jesus will feel if you demonise the United Nations as an organization as the scarlet colour beast of Revelation that dishonors God and at the same time create hour long convention videos that instructed 8.5 million Jehovah's Witnesses to escape to this very organization for salvation!
Do you see the striking conflict of interest?
Of course the Watchtower has been in bed with the United Nations for years and unfortunately it was exposed right after 9/11 happened otherwise millions of Jehovah's Witnesses would have walked away from the religion.I include the link from the British Guardian newspaper with the full article when it came out on Mon 8 Oct 2001.
