We don't preach to Muslims

As they say, one picture is worth 1000 words and there was a time the Watchtower used to write Study articles with meaning , then they came up with the Simplified Edition of the Watchtoer and now we live in the era of the Watchtower for simpletons where they communicate with their faithful with pictures.

All the doctrinal changes announced during the Annual Meeting have now made in the Watchtower May 2024 and more specifically Study Article 19. Paragraph 8 of this article deals with the question of "who won't have the opportunity to hear the good news before the End comes?". This question has been brought up many times in the past in the Watchtower publications since the preaching work as it is currently performed is not reaching all the people on the planet.

Let's see what the paragraph has to say:

Thus, a question arises: What about those who may not have a chance to hear the good news before the great tribulation strikes? How will Jehovah and his Son, whom he has entrusted to do the judging, deal with them? (John 5:19, 22, 27; Acts 17:31) The theme text of this article states that Jehovah “does not desire anyone to be destroyed.” Instead, he wants “all to attain to repentance.” (2 Pet. 3:9; 1 Tim. 2:4) That said, we must acknowledge that Jehovah has not yet revealed to us what he will do in answer to this question. Of course, he is not obligated to tell us anything about what he has done or will do.

This paragraph is followed by this picture and as they say one picture is worth 1000 words.

As you can see what they imply is that they will not be able to witness to the Muslim world represented by this lady with the burka, currently the Muslim population around the world stands at 1.8 billion people.(Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the first time I see a Muslim in a Watchtower magazine. They are that scared to address Muslims in any meaningful way).

The second photo is portraying Chinese people, implying that they will not attempt to witness to China where the population currently stands at 1.4 billion people. And finally the image of an Amazonian tribesman would seen to imply that they won't be able to find all the missing tribes in forgotten parts of the world that are in desperate need of a Watchtower magazine.

Now let's do the math, the world's population currently stands at 8 billion people, if you discount 1.8 billion Muslims and 1.4 billion Chinese which total 3.2 billion that means 40% of the world's population will not hear that good news of the kingdom before the End. This is astonishing! I guess when Jesus said in Matthew 24:14: " this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in ALL the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" he didn't actually mean ALL the earth He meant only 60% of it. We need to file this new meaning of the word ALL with the dictionaries around the world. What a joke!

Now here is the thing, is it true the Watchtower can't reach this demographic of the world or is it because they don't want to? The reality is they don't want to. There are currently hundreds of youtube channels that are reaching out to hundreds of thousands of Muslims around the world preaching to them the Gospel with a great amount of success. If the Watchtower really wanted they would have done exactly the same but for some nepherious reason they won't. This is because they want to give the impression they are engaging in ministry and not actually doing that. It reminds of the verse in Matt. 7:22,23:

Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

Sure, they can claim that reaching out to Muslims is dangerous as most Muslim countries are hostile to Christian missionaries but how about all these Muslims that in recent decades have moved over to Europe or other Christian dominated countries? Their lack of engagement has been deafening.

On my personal journey out of the Watchtower I started waking up to the fact that the Watchtower was not reaching any of these people on my area so I decided to do something about it. Back in 2010 I joined meetup.com where unlike Facebook, groups can meet in person. I used to run a non denominational Christian group and had the opportunity to reach out to a Muslim Ahmadeya group operating within meetup.com

The result was a debate where over 120 Muslims turned up to listen to a discussion about Jesus Christ's resurection for over 3 hours, I was presenting the Christian point of view. Never in my life I had the remotest opportunity to converse with a Muslim using the prescribed Jehovah's Witness method of preaching, is there ever was one. All it took was a little thinking outside the box. I'm sure any of you could have done a much better job, given the circumstances.

When I asked for help from my local congregation for this debate no one turned up to support me and on the aftermath I was marked for not witnessing the way the Governing Body wants us too which is standing next to a literature cart pretending to be statues. Do you see how useless preaching practicies and not lack of opportunity stops the Watchtower reaching this 1.8 billion people demographic? And for that they will be held accountable. Haven't they used the verses in Ezekiel 3:18,19 in this context multiple times?

When I say to someone wicked, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him, and you fail to speak in order to warn the wicked one to turn from his wicked course so that he may stay alive, he will die for his error because he is wicked, but I will ask his blood back from you
